Title:
THERMAL HEAD FOR DIVIDED RECORDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60199671
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To raise the printing quality by decreasing the generation of white lines in divided parts, by providing a clearance to the attaching base stand at a position corresponding to the position of heating element at the integral dividing position of heating element arranged length of the contact surface of the heating element substrate with the attaching base stand.

CONSTITUTION: A clearance part 9f is provided to an attaching base stand 2C so that when a heating element substrate 9a is attached to the attaching base stand 2C, the heating element substrate 9a does not directly contact with the attaching base stand 9c at a position corresponding to the heating element in the place where the line of heating elements is devided by 2 parts C and D. When a recording paper 7 is heated according to the heating element 3b and a picture signal feeding the recording paper 7 in the arrow marked direction by contacting it with the heating element 9b of thermal head 9 with a paper feed roller 8, recording can be carried out on the recording paper 1. At that time, one line is recorded by printing the block of D after printing the block of C in the first place. By partially restricting the heat transfer path of the heating element substrate 9a to the attaching base stand 9C by providing the clearance part 9f, the adjacent dot 9b' of C and D can be made to be a recording dot close to the shape of heating element 9b, too.
