Title:
PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING CALCIUM CARBONATE SLURRY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010084279
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide calcium carbonate slurry which disperses dark colored suspended matters derived from unburned carbon included in caustic calcium carbonate by adding at least two kinds of specific dispersing agents, while being also excellent in dispersing calcium carbonate, with respect to the caustic calcium carbonate slurry to be used for coating pigment and filler for paper-making.

This invention relates to a method of manufacturing calcium carbonate slurry characteristic of using at least two kinds of dispersing agents, particularly with respect to a method of manufacturing calcium carbonate slurry from lime sludge that is created when green liquor obtained from the pulp manufacturing process by way of kraft method is causticized. For the two kinds of dispersing agents, one is preferably to be at least one kind of carboxylic acid-based anionic surfactant agent, while for the other, one of the following is to be preferably chosen: a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether-based nonionic surfactant agent; a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether organic acid-based nonionic surfactant agent; and a polycarboxylic acid ammonium salt-based anionic surfactant agent.
