CONSTITUTION: A voltage changeover control circuit 103 sets supply voltage to sensors S1WS10 and flappers F1WF8 as power circuits at a low level, for example, at a half level via software control. Consequently, when a paper money processing device is shipped from works or subjected to maintenance work, half-level voltage is applied thereto and CPU 100 checks for the operating conditions of the sensors S1WS10 and the flappers F1WF8 with said device under operation, thereby ensuring the early detection of a trouble via the indication thereof on a monitor display.
