In the processing method, a silver halide color photographic sensitive material is processed with a processing solution containing a heterocyclic compound substituted by a sulfonic acid group or a phosphonic acid group and a mercapto group, an aryl compound or an aliphatic compound, in particular an azole ring, pyrimidine ring or triazine ring compound substituted by a sulfonic acid group and a mercapto group.
