To provide an effective sustained release version of GABA analogs so as to minimize the increase of the administering frequency of many -aminobutyric acid (GABA) analogs including gabapentin requiring frequent administrations because of a rapid whole body clearance, and also pure GABA analogs (especially gabapentin and pregabalin analogs) without producing lactams as side products having potent toxicity in their formulation or preservation.

The prodrugs of the GABA analogs, the pharmaceutical preparation compositions of prodrug of the GABA analogs and a method for producing the prodrugs of the GABA analogs are provided, and also the method of use of the prodrugs of the GABA analogs and the using method of the pharmaceutical preparation compositions of prodrugs of the GABA analogs for treating or preventing general diseases and/or troubles are provided.
