To efficiently collect information about parts constituting a product in order to evaluate the product.
Prior to the evaluation of a product using product structure data (BOM) and a part DB, information necessary for the evaluation is listed, and information not held in the part DB is extracted and listed as an information shortage. An information source capable of providing the information shortage is extracted from an information source database providing information about parts held in advance, and an information request message is sent to the information source. A system of the information source, upon receiving the information request message, registers the information direct in the part DB of the evaluation system. As to a unit, the system of the information source provides BOM data on the unit.
