Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the quality of underware with more fashionable sense by adding the body shaping to underware within a limit of shaping defined by the fleshy substances and the figures of wearers in order to attain the well- balanced figures as desired by the wearers.
CONSTITUTION: The entire figure and the entire circumference of a person is measured by a non-contact type three-dimensional shape measuring instrument which can measure full length and circumference at one time. Then the two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures are displayed on a display by a computer containing a graphic function based on the XYZ coordinate value obtained by the measuring instrument. At the same time, the size of each optional part is also displayed. Then the two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures an the sizes of optional parts which are manipulated in good balance with the measured person wearing the specifically manipulated underware are displayed in simulation on the same screen through comparison with the data stored previously in the computer and the operation for manipulation. In such a way, the specifically shaping underware can be produced.
