Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a producing method of a ceramic matrix composite material member at a low cost without decreasing the mechanical performance of the member.
CONSTITUTION: An impregnation process to integrate a fiber preform is carried out by using a thermosetting impregnation compsn. containing a ceramic precursor so that the precursor transforms into a ceramic material not by way of a fused phase by heat treatment and that the preform is integrated. Then the integrated preform is impregnated with a ceramic to make a dense body to obtain a composite material member. The thermosetting impregnation compsn. contains an org. silicon polymer such as polycarbosilane as a ceramic precursor, a thermosetting monomer such as an acrylic monomer, and a solvent such as hexane.
