PURPOSE: To integrally mold a composite molded product inclusive of a preliminarily molded member by fixing the preliminarily molded member in a preparatorily molded foam and covering the member with a reinforcing fiber body along with the preparatorily molded foam.
CONSTITUTION: In a thermally expansible resin transfer molding (TERTM) process, a preliminarily molded separate member is fixed in a preparatorily molded foam and covered with a reinforcing fiber body along with the preliminarily molded foam to make it possible to integrally mold a member composed of a metal, plastic, ceramic and/or a combination thereof along with a molded product. For example, the reinforcing fiber body 2 is arranged inclusive of a thermoelastic hard foam core 1 and integrally molded along with a thermosetting resin 3, and a metal screw member 4 and a member 5 made of a plastic elastomer are integrally molded along with the foam core 1. One end of the member 5 constitutes a part of the outer surface of the molded product and the other end thereof is adhered to the foam core 1 in the molded product and the obtained product can withstand impact force not supported by the combination of the foam core 1 and the reinforcing fiber body 2.
