Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the titled fiber which is excellent in uniformity by incorporating polydimethylsiloxane and ethoxylated polydimethylsiloxane into a spinning solution of polyurea polyurethane in a specified condition and dry spinning or wet spinning the same.
CONSTITUTION: The polydimethysiloxane having siloxane content of 0.8 to 2 weight % on the basis of the same in the finished fiber and viscosity of 50 to 300 cst (A) and the ethoxylated polymethylsiloxane having siloxane content of 0.2 to 0.6 weight % on the basis of the same in the finished fiber and viscosity of 20 to 150 cst (B) are incorporated into the spinning solution of polyurea polyurethane before spinning, and dry spinning or wet spinning is performed. The elastane fiber which is distinctly lessened in stripes in the textile materials which are dyed and finished without adversely affecting the workability thereof in the intermediate stages which are required for the production of the textile material after processing with a warp knitting machine is thus provided.
