Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for producing a filter material excellent in pleats processability and filter characteristics without defect such as interlaminar separation.
SOLUTION: In the filter material, the polyester based conjugate fiber spunbond nonwoven fabric consisting of the core shell type conjugate fiber which has coating weight X (g/m2) and stiffness/softness Y (mgf) satisfying the relation, Y/X2≥0.03 where the coating weight is 120-360 g/m2, and also partially has a thermocompression part is bend-formed by a pleats working machine. In such a way, excellent pleats processability and shape retainability are held while maintaining high performance filter characteristics, though the material is constituted with the nonwoven fabric having ≥120 g/m2 coating weight.
