Title:
PRODUCTION OF HOT ROLLED STEEL PLATE FOR PORCELAIN ENAMELING, EXCELLENT IN FISHSCALE RESISTANCE AND PRESS WORKABILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08269539
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a hot rolled steel plate for porcelain enameling, excellent in fishscale resistance and press workability, by subjecting a slab of steel having a specific composition having respectively specified Ti and S contents to hot finish rolling and to temper rolling under respectively specified conditions.

CONSTITUTION: A slab of a steel, having a composition consisting of, by weight, ≤0.010% C, ≤3.0% Mn, ≤0.10% P, ≤0.10% S, ≤0.10% Al, 0.001-0.020% N, 0.01-0.10% Cu, Ti in the amount satisfying inequality 4C+1.5S+3.4N≤Ti(%)≤0.30, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, is prepared. At the time of producing a hot rolled steel plate by using the steel slab as a stock, hot finish rolling is finished at a temp. not lower than the Ar3 transformation point and then temper rolling is done at 1.0-5.0% elongation percentage. By this method, the hot rolled steel plate having superior porcelain enameling characteristics and excellent press workability can be obtained at a low cost.
