Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce an imitation rush having appearance like a natural rush and usable as tatami facing by passing a plurality of tape like materials having different colors through a heating member forming a narrow gap.
CONSTITUTION: The color of a tape like material is determined by the pigment mixed with the thermoplastic resin to be introduced into a feeder 2. In a converging molding process, tapelike materials having different colors are respectively introduced into the gap of a heating converging device from a plurarity of taking-up rolls 10 to be passed through the gap with a diameter of about 1.0mm at a speed of 40-100m/min while heating. temp. is set to 300-400°C. The film obtained after passage has a diameter of about 1.5 mm because it expands so as to become larger than the diameter of the gap.
