Title:
PRODUCTION OF INDANTHRONE BLUE PIGMENT OR CARBAZOLE DIOXAZINE VIOLET PIGMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3489348
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an indanthrone blue pigment or a carbazole dioxazine violet pigment fine in particle sizes, homogeneous in particle shape and excellent in glossiness, coloring power and dispersibility without needing excessive time and energy on an industrial scale.
SOLUTION: Coarse blocks of a crude indanthrone blue pigment or carbazole dioxazine violet pigment is crushed by a dry crusher to produce a pulverized crude pigment. The pulverized crude pigment is dispersed in water and/or an organic solvent. Subsequently, the suspension of the pigment in water and/or the organic solvent is finely pulverized in wet by a stirring bead mill, which is operated under the conditions of power density larger than 2.6kW per one litter of crushing space and an outer peripheral speed of the stirrer higher than 6.7m/sec in the presence of a crushing medium, to obtain the objective pigment.
