Title:
PRODUCTION OF LIGHT-COLORED ROSIN METAL SALT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3922470
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light-colored rosin metal salt that has improved hue, odor and stability as well as a high neutralization efficiency, and is inexpensive from a metal compound of a specific metal and stabilized rosin of specific hue by a salt-forming reaction of them in the presence of a plasticizer.
SOLUTION: This rosin metal salt having a high neutralization efficiency regardless of a high or low degree of neutralization is obtained by a salt-forming reaction of (A) a metal compound (preferably acetate, carbonate, oxide or hydroxide) of at least one metal selected from a group consisting of lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc, and (B) stabilized rosin of Gardner color scale 1 or lighter color in the presence of (C) a plasticizer that contains stearic acid, benzoic compounds, tricresyl phosphate, trixylenyl phosphate, 3,4,5,6- dibenzo-1,3-oxaphosphen-2-oxide, etc.
