A transparent resin 12 being a thermosetting resin is applied to an emboss processing belt 10 having an embossed pattern on its surface and dried to be cured. PVA is applied to this transparent resin 12 and baked to form a PVA layer 20. By this constitution, the embossed pattern is transferred and the transparent resin 12 having the PVA layer 20 bonded to the opposite surface thereof is peeled from the emboss processing belt 10 to be taken up and an aluminum layer 24 is vapor-deposited on the surface having the embossed pattern formed thereon. A transparent resin is further applied to the aluminum layer 24 and the PVA layer 20 is dissolved to be removed and subsequently ground to obtain a hologram pigment.
