Title:
PRODUCTION OF METALLIC POROUS BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3195753
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a metallic porous body whose skeleton hardly fails and has a high tensile strength.
SOLUTION: A power mixture is formed by adding oxide powder of the metal having an average grain size of 0.1 to 5μm and having the grains finer than the grains of the metallic powder having an average grain size of 1 to 10μm is added to this metallic powder in a range where the weight ratio of the metallic powder and the oxide powder attains 7:3 to 1:9. A slurry is formed by this powder mixture and a dispersion medium and is applied on a urethane foam. This urethane form is dried and baked, by which the metallic porous body is produced. A water-soluble phenoilic resin is preferably used as the dispersion medium.
