Abstract:
To provide a production method of producing on microbes, poly(3-hydroxy butanoic acid-co-4-hydroxy butanoic acid)(P(3HB-co-4HB)) using an inexpensive biomass as a basic carbon source.SOLUTION: There is provided a production method of producing, P(3HB-co-4HB) in which 4HB fraction is improved, by performing genetic transformation to microbes which have P(3HB) production ability, using a recombination vector which has 4-hydroxy butanoic acid-CoA dehydratase (4HcD) gene, or a combination of the 4HcD gene and bacterium hemoglobin (Vgb) gene, for propagating a transformant on a medium including the carbon source.SELECTED DRAWING: None
