Abstract:
To provide a high-yield and high-purity production method of a sulfonium salt where fluorine atoms or fluorinated alkyl groups are introduced into a triphenylsulfonium cationic moiety.SOLUTION: A production method of a sulfonium salt (S) represented by general formula (2) comprises reacting a fluorine-containing sulfoxide compound (A) represented by general formula (1) and an aromatic compound (B) with a dehydrating agent (E) in the presence of a chlorinated solvent (C) and a fluorinated alkyl sulfonic acid (D).SELECTED DRAWING: None
