Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle used automobile upholstery as new molded interior finish materials.
SOLUTION: In a method for producing molded automobile upholstery, cutting chips discharged in the production process of automobile upholstery and fibers including thermoplastic resin fibers of carpets, cloths, and others which are discarded upholstery of used automobiles are crushed by a crusher. Next, the crushed material is piled, a release sheet is stuck on each of both sides of the piled material, and they are hot-pressed at the melting temperature of the thermoplastic rein fiber chips. Next, in the molten state, the release sheets on both sides are peeled off, or the release sheet on a sired side is peeled off, an exterior material is laminated immediately on the surface from which the release sheet was peeled off, and the laminate is pressed and cooled by a cold press equipped with a desired molding mold.
