Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain the subject compound which is less corrosive and excellent in lubricity and is useful as a lubricant by allowing an aqueous solution prepared by reaction of a substance containing hexavalent molybdenum with an alkali hydrosulfide to react with carbon disulfide, a secondary amine and a mineral acid.
SOLUTION: (A) An aqueous solution or suspension prepared by allowing a compound containing hexavelent molybdenum, for example, molybdenum trioxide to react with an alkali hydrosulfide, for example, sodium hydrosulfide or an alkali sulfide, for example, sodium sulfide, (B) carbon disulfide, (C) a secondary amine, for example, di-2-ethylhexylamine and (D) a mineral acid, for example, diluted hydrochloric acid are allowed to react so that the equivalent amount (d) of the mineral acid of the component D to be added may satisfies formula I (R' is the total number of carbon atoms originating from the component (C) in the reaction product) per 1 equivalent of the alkali hydrosulfide or sulfide in the component (A) to efficiently produce the objective compound of formula II(R1-R4 are each a hydrocarbon; R' as a total carbon atom number of' R1-R4, is ≥32; X1-X4 are each S, O).
