Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high-strength baked product of a perovskite type oxide by carrying out the low-temperature heat treatment of a molded product prepared from a raw material powder synthesized by conducting the pulverization, pressurizing and heat treatment at a specific temperature.
SOLUTION: A molded product prepared from a raw material powder synthesized by conducting the pulverization, pressurizing and heat treatment is heat-treated at a low temperature of 150-200°C and then baked. The temperature for the low- temperature heat treatment is preferably within the range of 160-180°C. Furthermore, the holding time for the low-temperature heat treatment is preferably ≥24 hr. The pressurizing treatment is carried out to prepare a raw material powder of La0.75Sr0.25 MnO3 and the resultant molded product is dried and then heat-treated at the low temperature of 150-200°C for 24 hr. The heat-treated molded product is subsequently baked at 1,500°C to provide a measured value of a strength of 3.0-3.8 kgf/mm2 which is 2-3 times of that without carrying out the pressurizing treatment. The defective volatilization of usually used organic binders, lubricants or the like is suppressed when baking the molded product composed of the perovskite type oxide and the high-strength baked product can be prepared by producing the baked product according to the method.
