To prevent the occurrence of wrinkles or flaws of a film surface, the foaming in a high-temp. and high humidity environment and the peeling at the boundary with adherend by specifying the gel fraction of the acrylic tacky adhesive applied on release paper and dried to a specific ratio or below.
The acrylic tacky adhesive applied on the release paper and dried is stuck to the polarizing plate or phase difference plate at ≤70% of the satd. gel fraction of its gel fraction. The satd. gel fraction refers to the gel fraction measured after resting and aging, for 15 days, of the tacky adhesive layer applied on the release paper and dried in the atmosphere of 23°C×60% RH. If the gel fraction of the acrylic tacky adhesive is below 70% of the satd. gel fraction, the cohesive power is low and the wettability with the adherend, i.e., the tight adhesion property, is good. The intrusion of the air at the boundary at the time of sticking the tacky adhesive layer to the adherend does not, therefore, arise and the foaming by the air bubbles is suppressed even at the high temp. or in the high-temp. and high humidity environment. In addition, the adhesive power to the adherend is improved and the peeling by the shrinkage stress of the polarizing plate, etc., is prevented.
