Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject polysiloxane containing a specific alkylhydroxysiloxane unit and an alkylhydroxysiloxane unit and useful as a starting material of a ceramic compsn. of silicon oxycarbide.
CONSTITUTION: The objective polysiloxane contains a siloxy-endblockd alkylhydrosiloxane unit represented by formula (wherein R' is 1-4C alkyl, R" is H, vinyl or 1-4C alkyl, x is 1-2, y is 0-1, z is 0-1, x+y is 2, x+z is 2 and y and z are 0.75 or more on an average and a band b are 2-100 on an average) and an alkylvinylsiloxane unit.
