Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To externally fit and mount caps for prescribing the lengths of unvulcanized or semi-vulcanized straight pipe-shaped rubber preformed products to a large number of mandrels in such a state that a large number of the mandrels are attached to a mandrel frame in a gathered state or to dispense with work extracting the caps from the mandrels after vulcanization at high temp. to perform these works under good environment or to mechanically perform those works.
SOLUTION: A plurality of mandrels are connected by a connection means to constitute a mandrel unit. The mandrels are detached from a mandrel frame along with the mandrel unit after vulcanization to be fed to the positions of a pair of the grasping pawls 252, 254 of a cap extraction device 46A and caps 82 are grasped by grasping pawls 252, 254. In this state, the mandrels 48 are subjected to pull-out operation and the caps 82 are extracted from the mandrels 48.
