Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a special steel material having high strength and high toughness, required of a metal saw base plate to be welded to a teeth part of high speed steel, under a large lot production system.
CONSTITUTION: A steel plate for a metal saw base plate, having a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.30-0.60% C, ≤0.40% Si, ≤0.60% Mn, 1.00-3.00% Cr, 0.40-1.00% Mo, 0.20-0.40% V, ≤0.010% P, ≤0.006% S, 0.010-0.10% Al as acid soluble Al, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, is produced by means of a steel strip production line consisting, at least, of a continuous casting stage, a hot rolling stage, and a continuous acid pickling stage. At this time, the above hot rolling stage is performed under the conditions of 1200-1350°C slab heating temp., 800-900°C finishing temp., 400-600°C coiling temp., and ≥98% total draft in the course between roughing and finish rolling, by which a hot rolled steel strip of bainitic single phase structure can be formed.
