Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a polyester fiber excellent in durable water-repelling performance and deep color-developing property.
CONSTITUTION: A polyester fiber having a birefringence (Δna) of ≤0.08 in the amorphous parts thereof is coated with a polyfunctional epoxy compound, thermally drawn or thermally treated, and subsequently coated with a fluorine- containing amino-modified silicone compound. The enhanced adhesion of the fluorine-containing amino-modified silicone compound on the fiber improves the durability of the performance.
