Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the pelletizing analysis close to an actual condition of a raw material not by handling the raw material as one grain, but by handling the raw material as the grain group having the grain size distribution.
SOLUTION: The pelletizing process is modeled assuming that the raw material is present only in a first sieve square. When the material in the first sieve square is pelletized, the raw material of f1 wt.% is divided into pelletized pseudo particles of πf1 wt.% and non-pelletized particles of (1-π)f1, where π is the pelletizing probability. The pelletized pseudo particles of πf1 wt.% are selected by any one of the first to n-th sieve squares. The pelletized pseudo particles falling in the k-th sieve square are πqk1 wt.%. πf1q11 wt.% is the weight percentage of the raw material staying in the first sieve square while being pelletized. The total from πf1q11 to πf1qn1 is πf1 according to the first definition. Accordingly, the total of qk1 from 1 to n for 'k' becomes 1.
