NEW MATERIAL:Propanebis(dithio)oxamide expressed by formula I and same or different metals-coordinated high polymer complex expressed by formula II [M1 and M2 are bivalent or trivalent transition metal; (l) is 0 or 1-5].

USE: The compound expressed by formula I is a synthetic intermediate for the compound expressed by formula II. The compound expressed by formula II is a pseudo-one-dimensional high polymer complex in which mutually similar or different metals are coordinated in mutually different coordination.

PREPARATION: 2,2-Dimethylpropanebisoxamide expressed by formula III is made to react with Lawesson reagent expressed by formula IV to afford a compound expressed by formula I. Then amide groups of the compound expressed by formula I is hydrolyzed with an alkali metal hydroxide and the hydrolyzate is allowed to react with nitrate of a metal to be complexed to provide the compound expressed by formula II.
