USE: The subject compound is useful in treatment of diseases which may be caused by thromboxane A2 such as thrombosis, anaphylaxy, etc., because it exhibits an activity at thromboxane receptor sites.
PROCESS: For example, a compound of formula YIII (Y is R1 or its precursor) is reacted with a compound of the formula, ZNH2 (Z is R or its precursor) to give the compound of formula I.
