Abstract:

To obtain an amino acid sequence of an AC-Hly derived from Bordetella pertussis, Bordetella parapertussis and/or Bordetella bronchiseptica carrying a protective epitope capable of inducing an immunological reaction protecting against the infection with the microorganisms of Bordetella, antibodies against these epitopes, especially a monoclonal antibody, and application of the monoclonal antibody for therapy or prevention of bordetella infection.

An amino acid sequence derived from the polypeptide sequence of adenylcyclase-hemolysin(AC-Hly), capable of inducing the formation of protective antibody against the infection with Bordetella pertussis and/or Bordetella parapertussis and/or Bordetella bronchiseptica containing amino acid sequence, selected from plural sequences, and an immune composition containing this amino acid sequence and a medicinal composition containing the sequence are obtained.
