To provide a videophone test method whereby one terminal can realize a videophone so as to be able to test its own videophone function without the need for an opposite terminal.
A frame extractor 4a extracts a control command and communication data from at least one frame among frames produced from a connection establishing request of data communication from a terminal 2 under test. A message processor 4c analyzes the extracted control command to create a loopback control command for reply to the terminal 2 in response to the analyzed control command. Frame data generators 4d, 4e create a loopback frame for reply to the connection establishment request from communication data extracted at an optional time and at least one of loopback control commands at an optional created time. A transmission/reception data processor 3 loopback-transmits the loopback frame created by the frame data generators 4d, 4e to the terminal 2.
