To provide a pulverized coal boiler, capable of not only effectively reducing generation of NOx and CO but also significantly improving the life of a water pipe by reducing a thermal stress caused in a weld part of the water pipe arranged on a water pipe wall constituting a furnace wall.
In this pulverized coal boiler, the furnace wall surface facing a furnace combustion space is constituted by arranging a plurality of furnace water pipe wall panels having a water pipe arranged thereon, a water pipe wall panel including an opening part for a sub-after air port and a water pipe is arranged so as to constitute a part of the furnace wall pipe wall panel. The water pipe wall panel is arranged and connected with the furnace water pipe wall panel so that one side or a divided connecting surface thereof is matched with a joint of the furnace water pipe wall panels where the furnace water pipe wall panels are mutually connected.
