Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly purified lithium salt of an organic acid useful for a raw material of a lithium cell, etc., by recrystallizing a crude lithium salt of a specific organic acid containing impurities with 1,4-dioxane, dissolving in a polar solvent having a specific boiling point, and filtering and removing the polar solvent from the filtered solution.
SOLUTION: The objective purified lithium salt of an organic acid having high purity and high performances is obtained by subjecting a crude lithium salt of an organic acid containing impurities to the two purification processes, that is, (A) recrystallizing the lithium salt of an organic acid expressed by the formula (Rf is a 1-4C perfluoroalkyl; X is O, N or C atom; (n) is 1 when X is O, 2 when X is N and 3 when X is C) [e.g. lithium bis(trifluoromethane sulfonyl)imide] and containing impurities with 1,4-dioxane and (B) dissolving the lithium salt of the organic acid in a polar solvent (e.g. ethanol) having ≤100°C boiling point, filtering and removing the polar solvent from the resultant filtrated solution (either process A or B may be performed at the first).
