Abstract:

To provide a purification treatment apparatus for appropriately removing (desulfurizing) a sulfur content in hydrogen sulfide contained in biogas generated by methane fermentation to produce methane gas of high purity, and appropriately removing siloxane also in siloxane-containing gas (including biogas) to obtain purified gas of high purity.

Methane gas is purified by introducing biogas generated by methane fermentation into a treatment vessel 3 containing an organic phosphoric acid ester L in a pressurized state to bring the biogas in gas-liquid contact with the organic phosphoroic acid ester L, thereby dissolving carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and siloxane contained in the biogas into the organic phosphoroic acid ester L to remove (desulfurize) the same.
