Title:
QUAKE-RESISTANT STRUCTURE OF JOINT PART
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3878472
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quake-resistant structure of a joint part capable of preventing the water cut-off performance of the joint part from lowering even if vibration occurs in a building of base isolation structure.
SOLUTION: A packing 2 formed of sponge rubber is fitted to the end face of a panel 1. A plurality of sheets of panels are swingably installed on the structural body of the building, and sealing material 3 is filled in the packing 2 between the adjacent panels 1. Water can be cut off by both the packing 2 and the sealing material 3. Even if the panel 1 is swung by vibration and a force is applied to the packing 2, since the packing 2 of sponge rubber is elastically deformed, the force is absorbed and a force applied to the installation portion of the packing 2 and the sealing material 3 can be reduced.
