PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the inexpensive quill support device of a machine tool with a high rigidity.
SOLUTION: An annular fixing support part 11 is provided on the front part of a frame 10 and a guide rail 14 extending to front/rear direction is provided on the rear part of the frame 10 and also a movable support body 15 is provided front/rear movably on the guide rail 14 and the front part of a quill 17 for supporting a tool installation shaft 20 turnably is inserted to the fixing support part 11 slidably and also its rear part is connected to the movable support body 15 and a drive device 22 for rotating the tool installation shaft 20 is provided on the movable support body 15.
