Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve straight-ahead stability and to control wandering on a slant road by overlapping narrow plies. SOLUTION: A belt layer 6 has a wide ply 7 substantially extending over a whole crown part 3 and a pair of narrow plies 8 arranged in the direction crossing the code of the wide ply 7. A pair of narrow plies 8 are arranged on both sides of a tire equator 12 and one of them is arranged inside in the radial direction of the wide ply 7 and the other is arranged outside in the radial direction. The pair of narrow plies 8 have an overlapping part near the tire equator and a width L of the overlapping part is 10 to 30% of the width of the wide ply. The ply-steering component produced by the overlapping part L faces inside the vehicle to improve straight-ahead stability.
