To provide techniques capable of collecting information required for the radio network side, with the reduction of a terminal load caused by measurement and/or reporting, and/or the reduction of reporting of less necessary information.
The radio communication system includes a radio terminal that transmits measurement information to a radio network. The radio network comprises means for transmitting to the radio terminal an instruction to periodically log measurement results of downlink signal reception quality and a retention period for the measurement results. The radio terminal comprises: means for retaining the measurement information including the measurement results as a measurement log; means for notifying the radio network that the radio terminal retains the measurement log; means for receiving from the radio network a request for reporting the measurement log; and means for transmitting to the radio network the reception quality, time information relating to a retention period for the reception quality data, and position information of the radio terminal, as the measurement log.
