To obtain the direction of a mobile station and to radiate the radio waves with directivity in the direction using a simple constitution.
In this radio wave radiation direction control method of the transmitter of a base station BS, which radiates the radio waves with directivity toward a receiver, 1st and 2nd signals S1 and S2 diffused by the diffusion codes orthogonal to each other are transmitted from one or more antennas AT1 and AT2, which are placed at different positions of the station BS, or the same signals are transmitted in time division from the antennas AT1 and AT2 as the 1st and 2nd signals. The phase detection part PDT of a mobile station MS receives the 1st and 2nd signals from both antennas of the station BS, to calculate a phase difference between both received signals. Then a direction estimation part DES calculates a direction θ of the station MS viewed from the station BS from the difference , feeds the direction θ back to the station BS from the station MS and then transmits the data addressed to the receiver from the transmitter of the station BS via a direction antenna ATD.
