Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading device capable of reading an object to be read with higher accuracy than the prior arts.SOLUTION: A reading device 100 comprises: multiple light sources for irradiating a paper sheet with lights of different wavelengths; a line sensor which receives a reflection light of a radiated light for each line of the paper sheet, reads the paper sheet and generates an image; a control device 101 for controlling the reading device 100. The control device 101 includes: an acquisition part 152 for acquiring a pre-scan image of the paper sheet by executing pre-scan processing based on previously specified light-emission setting 124; a first calculation part 154 for calculating an edge degree representing a strength of an edge of the pre-scan image; a second calculation part 156 for calculating a dot degree representing the quantity of pixels having a gradation difference equal to or more than a predetermined value from peripheral pixels among pixels of the pre-scan image; an adjustment part 158 for adjusting the light-emission setting 124 based on the edge degree and the dot degree; and an output part 160 for outputting a main scan image of the paper sheet by executing main scan based on the adjusted light-emission setting 124.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
