Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a problem occurring when a recording head is driven using one motor in a recording apparatus that performs recording by reciprocating the recording head.SOLUTION: The recording apparatus includes: a recording head 7; a plurality of motors 14a, 14b as a drive source for reciprocating a carriage mounted with the recording head 7; and a plurality of drive pulleys 22a, 22b that are provided in association with the respective motors and transmit drive force of the motors to the recording head via a timing belt 20. The drive pulleys are provided at both outer sides of a reciprocating range of the carriage. When the recording head is reciprocated, one of the motors for moving the carriage to a drawing direction toward the corresponding drive pulley is driven as a first motor and the other of the motors is driven as a second motor.
