Abstract:
To provide a recording device and a carriage device which can suppress contamination of the devices and generation of collision noise and further suppress cost increases of the devices.SOLUTION: A carriage unit 15 reciprocates along a rail guide 90 while a head unit held by the carriage unit 15 moves different paths as a forward path and a backward path. Namely, the rail guide 90 has a first path (first guide) 91 and a second path (second guide) 92 to be two different paths. The head unit reciprocates while switching the first path 91 and the second path 92. A pressing abutting member 16 is provided so as to be slidable between the first path 91 and the second path 92 of the rail guide 90, have a prescribed length, and be rotatably engaged with the head unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
