Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of suppressing a swinging phenomenon of a carriage while suppressing an increase in size of the carriage.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a carriage 24 comprising a recording head and moving in a first direction and a second direction; a guide member 44b being extended in a movement direction of the carriage and supporting a part of the carriage; and an endless belt towing the carriage at a position spaced apart from the guide member by a predetermined distance in a direction intersecting with the movement direction of the carriage. The carriage comprises: a main body section 24b having a box-like shape; a protrusion section 24j protruding in the first direction from at least a side wall 24h at a first direction side out of side walls of the main body section in the movement direction of the carriage; and a guided surface 62 being a surface brought into contact with the guide member and extended from a position closer to a second direction side than a position of the side wall at the first direction side of the main body section in the movement direction of the carriage to at least a position closer to the first direction side than the position of the side wall at the first direction side of the main body section, the position not protruding to the first direction side from the protrusion section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
