PURPOSE: To obtain a recording material with excellent storage stability of the image part by incorporating a trisphenol derivative of a specified formula as an electron-accepting compd. in the recording material wherein a recording layer contg. at least one of each electron-donating colorless dyes and electron- accepting compd. is provided on a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: In a recording material wherein a recording layer contg. at least one of electron-donating colorless dyes and electron-accepting compd. is provided on a substrate, as the electron-accepting compd., a trisphenol deriv. of a general formula (wherein R1 is a 1-12C alkyl group, a 6-20C aryl group or a 7-20C alkyl group and R2-R7 are each a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group or an alkoxy group) is incorporated. It is possible thereby to obtain an electron-accepting compd. for the recording material with excellent coloring properties and excellent storage stability of the image part and a recording material wherein this is used.
