Abstract:

To provide a recording medium, etc. which makes a reproduction format reflecting intention of a provider possible for the reproduction format at a special reproduction time of a picture-in-picture video.

The recording medium records a plurality of video data and management data regarding to at least one block of the plurality of the video data, and reproduces by an video synthesis device which outputs reproduction video of the picture-in-picture form combined the videos of the plurality of the video data. The management data includes instruction information which instructs a reproduction format at a special reproduction time of the reproduction video. The instruction information is information showing whether the video of a child screen is displayed or not during the video of a master screen is carried out special reproduction in the reproduction video of the picture-in-picture form.
