To recycle a readily handleable and lightweight cross-linked polymer concrete frame mold, obtained by cross-linking and polymerizing a cyclic olefin in a metallic mold in the presence of a metathetic catalyst system and excellent in durability, rigidity, etc., by carrying out specific treatment of the concrete frame mold.
(A) A monomer liquid comprising a metathetically polymerizable cyclic olefin containing a catalyst component of a metathetic polymerization catalyst system is mixed with (B) a monomer liquid comprising a metathetically polymerizable cyclic olefin containing an activator component of the catalyst system. The resultant mixture liquid is then injected into a metallic mold and the polymerization and cross-linking reactions are carried out in the metallic mold to thereby provide a cross-linked polymer concrete frame mold. The resultant concrete frame mold is treated with an acidic aqueous solution (especially preferably hydrochloric acid) after placing and using a concrete to remove a sticking concrete thin layer. Thereby, the cross-linked polymer concrete frame mold is recycled.
