To produce a more rigid new poly-g-caprolactone film increased in dimensional stability.

This semirigid poly--caprolactone film has at least 75,000g/mol weight-average molecular weight, at least 600MPa tensile elastic modulus in the longitudinal and transverse directions below the melting zone of the poly-- caprolactone and ≤1% shrinkage in both the directions. The poly--caprolactone film is obtained by extrudihg poly--caprolactone through a die at a temperature without exceeding 160°C in an on-line system while producing the poly-- caprolactone in the presence of an aluminum trialkoxide as an initiator.
