Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed reducer capable of improving the durability of a needle bearing arranged between the inner peripheral face of a planetary gear and a carrier shaft member.SOLUTION: A speed reducer 1 includes a housing 10 filled with lubricating oil, a second sun gear 40, a planetary gear 30 engaging with the sun gear, a carrier shaft member 50 inserted into the planetary gear 30, a needle bearing 60 rotatably supporting the carrier shaft member 50 on the planetary gear 30, and a carrier supporting member 70 supporting the carrier shaft member 50 at its axial ends. The planetary gear 30 includes a first groove part 34 formed radially on the end face directed to one axial side, and a second groove part 36 formed radially on the end face directed to the other axial side. A distance r1 from a rotation axis A2 of the planetary gear 30 to the radial outside end of the first groove part 34 is greater than a distance r2 from the rotational axis A2 of the planetary gear 30 to the radial outside end of the second groove part 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
