Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a uniform temperature distribution in the whole area of a regenerating heater, in the range up to a heat resistant temperature of a filter or below from the vicinity of a burning temperature of the particulate after starting regeneration, when the particulate trapped in the filter is heated and burned by the regenerating heater.
SOLUTION: A meshed plate shape heater 3b is arranged between multi- layered tubular filters 4 and 5 and the like used for particulate trapping without contact with the filters, and the configuration is formed such that strip-shaped current carrying routes which are laid in parallel and extended is made tubular, and electric resistance is optionally set from an inlet to the central part and further from the central part to a terminal part of the tube to form a DPF 100 for regenerating the particulate.
